St. Michael's Salle d'ArmesWe have several tents, but our centerpiece is a "Henry VIII" tent by Panther Primitives. It has two carousels which can be used independently, with a connecting "hallway." It takes 5 people to put it up.
Step 1: Lay out the ground covers. Measure from center to center of the rounds.

Step 2: Assemble the flange and hub as shown.

Step 3: Attach the three parts of the roof together. Slide the ridge pole through the cutouts in each carousel roof and under the hallway roof. Place the uprights and attach to the ridge pole.

Step 4: Place all of the perimeter ropes. Place the long stakes about a foot away from the ground cover edge. Make sure that the dog bones are all the way out (they're not in this photo).

Step 5: Raise the tent. Make sure not to twist or otherwise torque the ridge pole (so bring the uprights up together). This step is best with 5 people -- two on each pole and one who runs around to start tightening up the ropes.

Step 6: Start placing the spokes. The various ropes will need to be adjusted as this is done.

Step 7: Hang the side walls. Stake the bottoms (not done yet here) using the short stakes. Make sure to match the various letters on the D-rings and hooks.

The tent at FCC -- one carousel closed, the other and the hallway with only one (back) wall each.
