St. Michael's Salle d'Armes2005 saw the inaguaration of a new Faire, this one in the East Bay area. Set in Faversham, Kent, along the road from Dover to London, it portrayed a chance meeting between King Henry VIII (returning from France and the Battle of the Spears) and Queen Catherine of Aragon (returning from Scotland and the Battle of Flodden Field).

Unfortunately, it was hailing on Friday during set-up, so we created "Camp Swampy" at the south end of the site. Due to constraints placed by the fire marshal, we did not put up the hallway, just the two carousels. Of course, this also meant that our squires (on loan from Charlotte Wood Middle School) had plenty of rust to clean off.
