Günther is the second son of a prosperous merchant in Würzburg, Bavaria. Until recently he attended Heidelberg Universität, where he was studying Latin and History (and drinking and swordplay). Unfortunately, he had a ... let's say... altercation, with the nephew of the Archbishop of Würzburg, who was also a student in Heidelberg. Günther's father thought it best if Günther went away to study for a while... far away... the Low Countries are not always far enough away...
Günther is currently studying the art of defence with St. Michael's Salle in Gent, while continuing his education at Universiteit Gent. He occasionally travels with the members of the Salle, broadening his experiences and making contacts for his father's business.
