The kitchen-garage wall came down (it's nowhere near the current code requirements). And the previous remodel of the porch was undone. We found out some interesting things about the house - the original living room and dining room floor was a nice parquet - except for the portion where the original archway was removed, and where the addition was done.

And now we finally start the reconstruction, as Ted drills the holes for the foundation piers. The piers need to be about 10 feet deep, into the clay layer.
